Hi everybody. Welcome to Shift, a podcast about mobility. I'm Pete Bigelow, your

host and reporter at the Automotive News. This is a tough time for startups, both

within the transportation realm and beyond.

There are a lot of companies that get their initial seed funding or Series A round,

and then really struggle to take that next step in this uncertain economic time.

One of the biggest challenges, as any founder will tell you, is inking that first big customer or

And that's why I'm so intrigued by what Uplabs is doing

and why I've invited Uplabs President Caitlin Foley
