only Kate Kyle. Welcome. Good morning. Thank you for having me.

This is Kate's first time in the back house on the Robcast. You are a resident of the

great state of Florida. Correct. I believe it is. I met Kate on tour and she's the Tallahassee

Florida city something. You're the assistant regional manager. What is that? I'm serious.

When I met her I was like, oh my word. My Robcast friends have to meet this woman and hear what

she's up to. So yeah. Yeah. So I am among many hats that I wear. I am the local chapter leader in

Tallahassee for an organization called Mom's Demand Action. And who started Mom's Demand Action?

Mom's Demand Action was started five years ago by a woman named Shannon Watts directly in the

aftermath of the Sandy Hook shooting. It was a situation where she sat down at her kitchen table

and started a Facebook page. She laughs that she had 75 friends at the time and she just had a very

I think like many humans and especially mothers had after that shooting. Yeah. I've got to do

something. This is out of control. We've got to do something. So she started a Facebook page group.

And she had a background in corporate communications. So she understood messaging and how to craft

a message and how to build an organization. And so we just recently celebrated five years

as an organization. And we are we are a grassroots nonpartisan nationwide organization. And we work

in conjunction with every town for gun safety, which is an organization that grew out of a group of

mayors who were looking at the problem of illegal guns and big cities. Mayor Bloomberg started

a coalition and a group to look at this issue. And from that, every town was born. And then Mom's

Demand Action came in as the boots on the ground is what we say. Okay. So why did you get involved?

I got involved about a year and a half ago. It wasn't really on my radar. I was super, super

affected by Sandy Hook. I mean, I was really torn up about it. I remember a lot of sobbing,
