Good morning and welcome to the Independent Republic of Mike Graham right here on Talk Radio.

The usual suspects have returned to the fray,

the Guardian, Gordon Brown, John Major, Tony Blair, and guess what they want? That's right,

a government of national unity. Now, where did we hear that before? Just trying to remember,

I think it might have been, oh yes, during the Brexit stalemate of last year when they decided

that the government couldn't do anything, so they should all come back and rescue us from ourselves. What an absolute load of old nonsense. What is it about

these people that makes them think anyone wants them back? John Major, whose specialities included

watching cricket at Lords and consulting with Edwina Curry, Gordon Brown, who sold off all

our gold at record low prices and thought deregulating the banks was a great idea,

thanks to Fred the Shred. Tony Blair, who took us all into an illegal war in Iraq, for which we're

still paying the price. Lastly, the Guardian, which is happy to employ journalists who think

it's fair game to go after our Prime Minister as he fights for his life in the intensive care ward

at St Thomas's Hospital. I'd have to say, folks, thanks, but no thanks.

The very same people are arguing that there is some form of power vacuum at the heart of government,

despite the fact that cabinet responsibility remains intact.

and the programme of prescription and recovery continues.
