You know, some people celebrate their 10th anniversary by going out and buying tin or whatever

as one does.

The brains behind Rodarte, Kate and Lower Maliever, made a movie last year.

And it's coming out this year that the film is Woodshock, their first feature film.

First of all, guys, thanks so much for being.

I wanted to have you on just to talk about your work.

But now we're talking about another part of your work, a film.

Yeah, it's so crazy. Well, we're excited to be here. Well, I'm excited to have you here.

I'm glad you're enjoying the coffee here at Public Radio in Culver City.

I'm going to be testified to this is the best coffee I've had in a while.

We'll get your coffee IV drips. One of the things I've always thought about your work as designers is that there's a kind of

tension in it that lends itself to film anyway, isn't there? Well, you know, what was interesting

about doing as we would do our collections over the years, a consistent thing people would say to us

was, you know, I sat in the show and there's something about this that makes me feel more of a

cinematic experience.

And, you know, it's just with something, you know, when you hear enough, it does make you think about it.

But I think Laura and I always, we didn't have a traditional background in fashion.

You know, I was an art history major and Laura studied English and we both went to Berkeley.
