I welcome my colleague Gregory Copley,

editor and publisher of defense and foreign affairs,

to turn our attention to Operation Sindor.

This has to do with the recent conflict, not yet entirely concluded, over Kashmir,

a shooting conflict that came to an alarm bell ringing when some of the India-fired ordinance landed near or threatened the nuclear weapons arsenal

of Pakistan. At that point, we're told it's fog of diplomacy. You don't have all of it. We're

told that major leaders called in to say, calm down, cut this out, find a way out.

What was the way in?

And that requires us to understand Operation Sindor.

What was, what is Operation Sindor?

What is the mission?

Good evening, John. Operation Sindor? What is the mission? Good evening. Good evening, John. Operation Sindor is the Indian military part of the operation to essentially isolate the People's Republic

of China by attacking Pakistan and particularly by attacking Pakistan through the Pakistani-occupied area of Kashmir called Azad Kashmir,

which would give India, if you like, the ability to move from Indian occupied Kashmir across to the Afghan border.

What this would do is cut off the land bridge between the People's Republic of China's Xinjiang province down through the Karakoram Highway and the Karakoram Mountains of Pakistan down through Pakistan to the Arabian Sea.

In other words, it would cut off China from its southward access to the Indian Ocean,

the Middle East and the like, to a large degree. So this would be a very significant strategic coup for

the People's Republic of China. And this is really why India was part of the quad alliance with the United States, Japan and Australia,
