I run out of breath. Hi, ladies, love listening to you OG from 16 and pregnant days. I have a story about when I was 18,

freshman in college and met and fell in love with a man who was 26 at the time.

All right, so we're talking about eight years, okay, between them. A little backstory, my best friend had just died of cancer and my parents lived in a different state. So I was going through it and felt really alone and isolated.

In comes 26 year old man, who was a musician, should have been my first red flag who said all the right

all the right words and did all the right things made me feel special and beautiful and less alone

after he hooked me in the real version of himself started to show.

He was verbally and mentally abusive, always telling me how I would be nothing without him, and

here he is to save me from myself.

During the course of our relationship, I knew about a girl that used to be in his life named

Karen and he would constantly compare me to her. I was never as good as her, could never get out of her shadow.

He was constantly telling me about what Karen would do in XYZ situation and he wished I was more like her.

Then go be with Karen. Yeah, bye! Go be with Karen. Me with Karen. And go be a Karen. But because I was in so deep and my self-worth was trash, I always

wanted to try to be better for him not realizing the manipulation that was going on. We moved to a different

state together because he fully made me believe that it was the city we were in that made him the way he was and a fresh start would have been perfect.
