A crazy woman tried to run me down in the parking lot with her car.

My sister-in-law both got Michael's gift cards for Christmas.

Michael's is a craft store, and we were excited to meet up and shop together.

We were both coming from different directions, so we just met there.

As we were walking from our cars to the storefront,

there was a medium amount of traffic moving through the parking lot.

Nothing crazy. I approached the area where you would cross,

and there's an older woman in an SUV a ways back,

going about 20 miles an hour.

I look both ways as one does, and start to cross,

and I see her trying to make eye contact,

so I look up at her face, and she is still quite a distance from me

where I would be if I just kept crossing.

She looked a bit annoyed, but made an ambiguous hand gesture

that I foolishly interpreted, as her giving up her non-existent right away to me.

Naturally, I kept walking.

This crazy lady literally hit the gas.

She came very close to hitting me.

I obviously scurry the rest of the way because I'm not trying to have broken legs,

and then, having now passed where I was standing seconds before,

she stops her car.

Why did she stop her car? You might be wondering?
