An entitled Karen mistreats me on Christmas, claiming that I was refusing her service,

and treating me with absolute disrespect. But as a result, my manager forces her to leave,

resulting at her getting blacklisted from our restaurant, as well as the hotel that I work in,

and I honestly could not be more satisfied. Here's what happened. So this happened yesterday.

I'm a barkeeper in a hotel, and I have been for nearly five years now. I used to be full-time,

but have had to go to part-time due to personal reasons. Still, my team really seems to care about me,

and this is something that was really solidified for me yesterday, with how they rallied to my aid.

The Christmas shift is wildly considered to be the easiest shift of the year for us,

especially in this hotel, as everything is booked in advance. The food is all pre-ordered,

and zero last minute reservations or walk-ins will be taken on the day. The atmosphere is always great,

and we are frequently getting told by our customers about how good of a job we are doing,

and how we're really making their Christmas special. We all basically went about our work

with a constant warm fuzzy feeling. That is, until 10 minutes before the end of my shift,

an entitled Karen comes into the bar, and if this lady had a theme song to go along with her,

it would be cold as ice by foreigner. She stared daggers into my soul before I was even able to

open my smiling mouth to greet her. The following is a recreation of the exchange that we had to

the best of my recollection. She takes one look at me and says, I would like the wine list please,

so I respond to her by saying, okay, that's no problem. Although I should say that we don't actually

have an independent wine list per se, as much as a dedicated page within our whole drinks menu,

and before I could even go further, she interrupts me by saying, you have got to be kidding me.
