If you haven't been around lately, you might not have heard this,

but I made some comments about wanting to change my relationship to screens and the internet and feeling freaked out by how much of my life involves just me and a

laptop compared to four years ago and wanting to see if I can find new ways, as I said,

or new relationships to it.

And I realized something.

I realize that it isn't about finding a new something.

That actually, it's about a return to something because I did know life before the internet.

Not everybody listening to this, maybe in that case.

I know a lot of you are.

Some of us did have times in our life when there was an internet and we did things differently. And I look back on those times and I go,

wow, see, there was another point in my life where I went about my days in a different manner than I do now.

And I have that in me. I can return to those patterns. And it's funny, that makes me feel like,

am I conservative? I'm becoming more conservative as I get older. They always say that happens,

right? I remember my dad saying that to me in college, you know, as you get older, you'll get more conservative.

But to me, that's not the right word, because conserve means, like, to keep something in place
