For those of you who are not aware, the Smoky Back Room was a term used through the

earlier part of the 20th century to describe party stakeholders, donors, and luminaries in a political party.

They were traditionally the people that at a convention

would eventually put their thumb on the scale and decide who was going to

represent each party. And I to say I've always loved that era of politics and it's the

reason why I decorated my YouTube set the way that I've decorated it. It's got a retro

aesthetic that feels like one of those old hotel ballrooms that the

Smoky Backroom would meet in and maybe it's because we have an appreciation that I've been told to read the

following from the Smoky Back Room and I will do so now.
