So we are officially in the next round of unforeseen errors in Trump's response to

coronavirus.

Trump and his mouthpieces are now falling over themselves to try and convince the American

people that schools need to be open in the fall.

He's trying to mandate that all schools should be open for in-person learning in the

middle of a pandemic.

So why die on this hill?

It's the same reason it's been since day one of the outbreak, which is just Trump needs

to give the appearance that everything is normal and reopening and fine, just fine.

And nothing epitomizes that more than kids going back to school, right?

That's peak normality.
