In today's show, I'm going to be joined by Kamal Patel, who is the director over at

Examine.com.

And he's a nutrition researcher that has a MPH and an MBA from Johns Hopkins University,

and at the moment is on a hiatus from a PhD in nutrition,

in which he's researching the link between diet and chronic pain.

He has published peer-review articles on vitamin D and calcium,

as well as a variety of clinical research

topics. And Kamal has also been involved in research on things like fructose and liver health,

mindfulness meditation, and nutrition in low-income areas. So he has a vast background in various

different issues.
