I'm David Ken and today I want to talk about my home country's own music,

K-pop, short for Korean pop music.

Healing from South Korea, it has grown to an international sensation worth over $6 billion

US dollars, but it's wrestling with a massive waste problem fueled by enthusiastic fans and

spurred on by the labels.

Since we've got too many albums, we just had to throw it away.

So it was so heartbreaking too.

It's because on the album there was a picture of our favorite K-pop idol's picture,

but we have to throw it away.

So how do you please the passionate K-pop fans and make the music industry greener?

We'll be hearing from some companies who may have a solution.

What we are trying to do is eventually changing, disrupting the entire music experience.

And of course, the K-pop bands themselves.
