The New York Jets striking early in free agency here addressing a position of major need,

signing Justin Fields to a two-year deal worth a reported $40 million with $30 million and

guaranteed money.

So obviously two years, average annual here, we're talking $20 million per year, which is about

as low-end starter money as you could possibly get.

So yes, all the talk of Tyrod Taylor being

the potential starter. That seems like it was just talk. Tyrod Taylor is still your backup quarterback.

And it looks like Fields will get a legitimate chance to start here. We had heard rumblings

earlier in the day that he wasn't going to stay in Pittsburgh unless they were serious about making him

a starter. Well, that doesn't seem like it was the case because here we go. Fields in New York

will get reunited with Garrett Wilson. Of course, they played together at Ohio State. And there's a lot

to this deal. Now, obviously, Fields won't be in Pittsburgh, and we don't think Russell Wilson will be

either. Will it be Aaron Rogers? Will they just simply be swapping seats here? Well, more to come on

that as it happens. But let's be honest. Fields is the ultimate way better in fantasy football than

in reality quarterback. Last year, he started in six games for the Steelers at the beginning of the season.

from a football standpoint, very critical of Justin Fields.
