Summary

Romans 5:16- Nor can the gift of God be compared with the result of one man’s sin: The judgment followed one sin and brought condemnation, but the gift followed many trespasses and brought justification.

Romans 2:12-16 - For all who have sinned without the law will also perish without the law, and all who have sinned under the law will be judged by the law. 13 For it is not the hearers of the law who are righteous before God, but the doers of the law who will be justified. 14 For when Gentiles, who do not have the law, by nature do what the law requires, they are a law to themselves, even though they do not have the law. 15 They show that the work of the law is written on their hearts, while their conscience also bears witness, and their conflicting thoughts accuse or even excuse them 16 on that day when, according to my gospel, God judges the secrets of men by Christ Jesus.

0:26.4	That really is our goal. We want our minds to think along the line that God himself thinks and we find his truth in the word of God, the Bible,

0:59.5	Today's passage is a great example
1:01.8	of how the Holy Spirit helps us understand things and helps us
1:06.4	apply those to our lives. We're looking at the book of Romans chapter 5.
1:10.6	Verse number 16 is where we are.
1:12.9	And Paul is just wrapping up what I call a divine rabbit trail where he is describing some things
1:19.8	that he's already mentioned in verse 12 in more depth and he's doing so so that we can
1:25.5	understand the fullness of what has really happened and what he brought up back in
1:31.3	verse number 12 was that sin entered the world through one man.
1:37.0	And he's referring back to Adam of the famous Adam and Eve.
1:41.0	And then he says, in this way, death came to all people because all have sinned.
1:49.6	And then in verse 16, which is where we're picking up today. He is still talking about that subject
