And on this episode, I'm going to be talking about the murders of Spencer and Monique Tepe. Two parents, a quiet home, two children

asleep just feet away, and by morning, both adults inside that house were dead. On the morning of

December 30th, 2025, co-workers at a Columbus dental practice grew concerned when Dr. Spencer Tepe, a 37-year-old dentist, didn't show up for work.

This wasn't like him.

Phone calls went unanswered, messages unread, and eventually a wellness check was requested for Spencer and his

wife, 39-year-old Monique, at their home in the Wyneland Park neighborhood of Columbus, Ohio.

But when police were first dispatched, they went to the wrong house. By the time officers reached

the correct address, the 1400 block of North 4th Street, a friend had already arrived.

And inside the home, two small children were crying. And then a body was seen. Now some sources say that the friend actually

made his way inside the home and found the bodies upstairs, but that information has not been

officially released by investigators. Police entered the house and found both Spencer and Monique shot to death inside their home.

They were pronounced dead shortly after 10 a.m.

Their two children, just one and four years old, were physically unharmed, and the dog.

Almost immediately investigators made several critical determinations. This was not a

murder suicide. There were no signs of forced entry on either doors. And perhaps most chilling of all,

the murder weapon was gone. Based on forensic evidence, police believe the couple was killed sometime between 2 and 5 a.m.

Hours before anyone realized something was wrong. That detail matters because whoever did this

was able to enter the home, commit the murders, leave the scene, and disappear without waking the children.

Now, as the investigation expanded, police began canvassing the neighborhood for surveillance
