1:16.6 | case is that person that you're experiencing a bit of tension with. By remembering, this |
1:23.0 | person is just like me. We can begin to soften that judgment and really connect to the shared |
1:29.6 | human experience. So if it's alright with you, I'd like to guide us through this practice. |
1:38.8 | Take a moment to think of this person you're in conflict with. And if you aren't experiencing |
1:46.8 | conflict, you can bring to mind anyone, a loved one, a friend, acquaintance, taking a deep |
1:58.4 | breath in through the nose and out through the mouth and imagining them in front of you. |
2:05.4 | And imagining them in front of you. Repeating after me, this person has a body in mind, |
2:18.5 | just like me. This person has feelings, emotions and thoughts just like me. |
2:25.5 | This person has, at some times, been sad, angry or hurt, just like me. And this person wishes |
2:32.5 | to be loved, just like me. Taking another deep breath and then offering them these well wishes, |
2:42.5 | may you be safe for the future. |
