Okay, there is a lot going on tonight.

The former president of the United States and presumptive Republican nominee had a meeting with a probation officer today, which I guess is the sort of thing we just have to get used to saying these days.

We'll talk about what may have come up during that meeting and how it could impact his sentencing that's coming up in just a month.

And we're going to start tonight at the Supreme Court and a mountain of ethics scandals that just got

much, much bigger. And it just got bigger because of a woman named Lauren Windsor.

Now, in case you don't know who she is, she's a progressive activist who's known to approach important Republican figures, pretend she's an ally, make flattering statements, and then record her targets making candid comments.

And in comments recorded by Lauren Windsor at the Supreme Court Historical Society's annual dinner earlier this month, Supreme Court Justice Samuel Lido offered his assessment of the

political and ideological struggle in America.

I don't know that we can negotiate with the left and the way that, like, leads to happen

for the polarization to end.

I think that it is a matter of like winning.

I think you're probably right.

One side or the other, one side or the other is going to win.

I don't know.

I mean, there can be a way of working, a way of living together peacefully, but it's difficult, you know,

because there are differences on fundamental things that really can't be compromised.

You know, it's not like what the difference.

Now, heard in a vacuum by someone, those comments may not seem particularly striking.

But remember, Samuel Lido is one of nine justices on the Supreme Court, the highest court in our country.
