Hi guys my name is Emily and I am the host of the Mom Struling Well

Podcast it is a weekly podcast that tries to help moms move from just

struggling it is hard y'all to struggling well and so I just felt God put on my heart that I'm supposed to like also do a little bit of teaching and so that's what I'm doing

I would just like to say still that I'm still very uncomfortable with it. This is not something that I feel like I'm ever quite ready for and I only say that to encourage you that if you feel like God's telling you to do something, not just if you feel like you want to do something, but if you feel like God is calling you to do something, do it even if you're still super jittery about it. Okay, it's worth it. Yeah. Okay, so we are, this is our third one that we've done in the book of John and we're in still chapter one of John.

going to do is start reading in John chapter 1 38 through 51 51. It's not a big chunk but that's what we're going to read today.

Jesus turned and saw them following, these are John the Baptist disciples that heard that he was the Messiah, so they left and went to follow him.

He saw that they were following him and he said, what are you seeking?

And they said to him, Rabbi, which means Teacher, where are you staying?

And he said to them, come and you'll see so they came and they saw where he was staying and they stayed with him that day it was about the 10th hour so I think that was like 4 o'clock or something so it wasn't really long enough to go back home so they just stayed.

Such an interesting culture just be like okay well you know we're just since we're here we're just saying all night.

It's just not something we would do, but I think that's cool.

One of the two who heard John speak and followed Jesus was Andrew, Simon Peter's brother.

He first found his own brother Simon and said to him we've found the Messiah which

means Christ he brought him to Jesus Jesus looked at him so Jesus is looking at

Peter and he said you're Simon the son of John and you shall be called Cepas which means Peter so that's interesting he just renamed him right there the next day this is verse 43

Jesus decided to go to Galilee he found Philip and he said to him follow me now Philip was from

Bethseda the city of Andrew and Peter
