We've been following the U.S. invasion of Venezuela and all of the many oil-related stories behind it for the last couple of weeks.

climate justice reporter Nina Lacani did with Fernanda Hopenheim, member of the UN Working Group

on Business and Human Rights. What Hopenheim lays out here is that the Trump administration

in capturing various tankers

and unilaterally taking over oil production in Venezuela has violated multiple different international

laws. And while President Trump might think that that doesn't matter or doesn't apply to him or the

U.S., companies involved in the sale

and trade of that oil are opening themselves up to a lot of legal liability.
