I want to share with you today a life-changing exercise that I learn from the one and only Martha Beck.

Now Martha Beck is a spiritual teacher, incredible author who I have followed for years and luckily for us

But I want to break down one tour. that is

that is exceptionally easy to do and extremely

to do and extremely powerful. And it's called

called the one degree turn.

Now the way that she explains this is,

look, if a plane is in the sky

and it changes course by just one direction, in a few

hours it's going to be in a totally different place than if it didn't change just by that one degree.

Often when we think we need to make changes,

we think about taking this ocean level leap,

or this major step forward that just has to be this full transformation or nothing, right?

Even think about it with very common things like getting out of debt or wanting to lose weight,

we want to go straight to net zero weight. We want to go straight to

net zero or we want to go straight to losing, I don't know, whatever just feels like

at our dream weight immediately tomorrow. The way that she describes the one degree turn is simply spending 10 minutes more per day doing something that you enjoy.

So for example, if you're watching a TV show and you're not really that into it,

maybe you can just not bother watching the last 10 minutes and spend 10 minutes playing with your dog. Or if that friend's

calling you who's a bit of a drain, she's a bit of a time suck and an energy
