This is CVS High and the World. I'm John Bachelor. Behind the Black, Bob Zimmerman is here and it's

launched. SpaceX has launched a Falcon Heavy with Bob. What is Europa Clipper? What is the mission?

All right, John, this is an exciting and intriguing mission in many ways.

The history of Europa Clipper is spectacular. Let me first start with

Falcon Heavy. SpaceX got the contract to launch Europa Clipper because initially

Congress had mandated it should launch on the space launch system SLS, but SLS was too expensive and

was never going to be ready in time and didn't have to pass the rockets capable of doing

it on time.

And so eventually Congress changed the law and allows

uh... that's a to buy a launch provider from anybody and the only other

rocket that could do it was the Falcon Heavy. So the Falcon Heavy provided the launch.

They did not, the side boosters on the Falcon Heavy had been used before, but neither were

recovered because they needed every
