Here we are, ladies and gentlemen.

We have arrived at

the end of yet another week in a dangerous world of coronavirus and its recovery therefrom. And here

are some brief statistics. The virus is making headway in South Africa, where the number of cases

has ramped up significantly. Brazil is also in the spotlight as the authorities there struggle

to contain its rapid spread. Meanwhile, there are still problems in several states of the USA,

and France is now reporting a surging cases over the past few days.

We told you yesterday that Spain might be closing down.

You've just heard in the news that Portugal might be opening up.

Back home in this country today is the day that we are all supposedly forced

to wear face coverings when we go to the shops.

So far shops and indeed the police, however, are suggesting they won't be insisting on it.

So we need to get your observations, your experiences and your thoughts today.

Have you been to the shops? Are you complying with the compulsory measures or is everyone simply ignoring it all?

What we're hearing in the first instance today

is it's all a bit chaotic out there. Some people who are not wearing masks are getting sort of

frowned at by some people. Other people who are wearing masks are being laughed at by some other

people and generally speaking the word compulsory appears to have got a new meaning, i.e. not

compulsory at all. 344-49-1,000 is a number. Let's face it, this is not

the end of the Magna Carta. This is not the end of your personal freedom. Just because you have to

wear a mask for 10 minutes to go and buy a couple of Kit Katz, it's not going to be a problem, is it?
