Summary
The train strike for later this month is very likely to go ahead. This near-certainty applies to all three national rail strike days – 21, 23 and 25 June – called by the RMT union on Tuesday.
It is also inevitable, in my view, that the “bonus strike” on the London Underground called to coincide with the first day on 21 June, will take place.

| 0:43.3 | operators. That is going to cause immense problems and I'll tell you why it's because, well, |
| 0:50.0 | first of all, the signalers at network rail are absolutely critical. |
| 0:55.0 | They simply cannot operate trains unless you've got signalers. |
| 1:00.0 | And all those management will step in. |
| 1:02.0 | I think we're looking at 20% of the network with about 20% of the trains, |

| 1:16.0 | going to be horrible because they're on a Tuesday Thursday and Saturday there's also going to be |
| 1:21.3 | an impact on the intervening days that will be the Wednesday and the Friday and if you are travelling on those days, |
| 1:30.7 | expect to find your problems really quite serious in terms of getting where you need to be. |
| 1:39.4 | I wouldn't at this stage be looking at embarking on those journeys. If you've got an advance |
| 1:45.1 | ticket, well you can hang on to it for the time being till we find out what the airlines are |
| 1:50.0 | hoping to run in terms of services. But bear in mind that it's going to be very messy and |

| 2:11.4 | Express, on Flix Bus, on Megabus, but bear in mind also that those are very likely to be unfortunately first of all very crowded |
| 2:23.1 | and secondly that would be very it's going to be very very tough to negotiate all the traffic so that's |
