Donald Trump is supposed to hold a rally in Tulsa Saturday night, but top public health official there is asking him not to.

Bruce Dart told the Tulsa world that's an honor to have the president come to town, but not during a pandemic. I'm

concerned about our ability to protect anyone who attends a large indoor event, and I'm also

concerned about our ability to ensure the president stays safe as well. That's according to the

Tulsa World. I wish we could postpone this, he said, to a time when

the virus isn't as large a concern as it is today. The newspaper's editorial board led out

to cry this morning with this headline. This is the wrong time and Tulsa is the wrong place

for the Trump rally. Around America, we're seeing cities struggle as quarantine fatigue sets in. The Washington Post

carries a headline this morning, noting that with the nice weather here this weekend, people

forgot about masks and social distancing. New York Governor Andrew Cuomo threatened restaurants in Manhattan

and the Hamptons to comply with distancing rules to avoid a second wave where the state could face

another lockdown. Houston is also struggling with an increase in infections, and Alabama reported

record cases for the fourth day in a row. South Carolina recorded nearly 800 new coronavirus cases

Sunday, setting another single day record in raising the state's seven-day

average for the 17th day straight. That's the Post and Courier. In North Carolina, they recorded

an increase in cases Friday and the second highest increase in cases Sunday. In Washington State,

coronavirus infections are on the rise, the Seattle Times reported, and Jay Inslee said cases and deaths will soon

increase substantially if COVID-19 continues to spread at the current levels. Florida recorded its

second largest single-day total at 2016. That's according to the Miami Herald. Here's the grim numbers.
