Ryan Williams and these are your daily true crime headlines. An inmate in Missouri was executed on Tuesday

after losing his last appeal. A Southern California woman was sentenced for her

role in the deaths of two young boys in 2020

and an update in the murder trial of an ex-Georgia cop, Miles Bryant.

On Tuesday afternoon, convicted killer and death row inmate 69 year old David Hozier was put to death

by lethal injection at the Eastern

reception diagnostic and correctional center in Bonter, Missouri. At the time of

his death, Mr. Hozier continued to proclaim his innocence.

Now, if you're unfamiliar with this case, let's go back to 2009.

You see, on September 28th of that year, 45-year-old Angela Gilpin and her husband, 61-year-old Rodney Gilpin,

were found shot to death in the entryway of their Jefferson County apartment.

During a preliminary investigation into the deaths, detectives would learn of disparaging and

threatening comments that Mr. Hozier had made about Angela to some of his immediate

friends and family in the days leading up to their deaths.

As it would later be revealed, both David Hozier and Angela Gilpin were at one point involved

in a relationship. And at the time, Angela was separated from her husband,

but as her and David's relationship began to fizzle out, she decided that she wanted to actually

reconcile with her estranged husband.

According to those close to the situation, David Hozier would have none of it.

He told friends that he was going to quote finish it and quote eliminate his problems
