A man was arrested in Washington this past week after an

incident in a retail parking lot left a teenager dead. In Illinois, a man stands

accused of attacking his brothers during a meeting to discuss a family property.

And some new text messages were revealed in the Karen Reed trial yesterday.

Last Wednesday on June 5th, a group of three teenage boys walked over to their local Big 5 in Winton, Washington

to have some of their airsoft guns checked out.

One of the teenagers was hopeful to return or exchange his air soft gun while another one of the boys

was actually having an issue with their magazine and was hopeful that an employee

could look at it. But before the young men could actually enter the store,

51 year old Aaron Brown Myers, an off-duty security guard,

quickly approached them with a handgun drawn down on them,

all of this incident being captured on CCTV. The

surveillance footage shows the teenagers react as any scared young adult would.

They promptly placed their erstoft guns on the ground, extended their arms to show they had no

weapons on their persons, and attempted to de-escalate the situation.

But the footage showed Mr. Meyers pushing one of the teenagers to the ground and began

straddling him while keeping his gun aimed at one of the other teenagers.

As that particular 17-year-old tried to back away, his right arm dropped, at which time Mr. Myers fired multiple shots striking the young man who subsequently fell to the ground.

Now, coincidentally, deputies with the King County Sheriff's Office were in the parking lot
