and a couple of moments we'll be introducing Rosemary Ellen Geiley, who has written a new book with Rick Fisher called Ouija Gone Wild.

But I'll tell you first, before we hear about that, my few experiences with the Ouija

board when I was a teenager.

You really want to hear this, Chris?

If it's a cool story, sure. I don't know if it's a cool story, but let's see.

Had a close friend named Kenneth Alpert. We grew up in Brooklyn, New York, and his mom got a Ouija

board one day and started playing with it and getting all sorts of screwy, crazy answers.

She always insisted that she didn't fake it, that she wasn't

moving the planchette subconsciously or manually or something, but we were getting all sorts of

freaky answers. Now, I've tried the Ouija board and it doesn't like me. It didn't like my

friend Kenny Alpert, who may be listening

to the show and will contribute his wisdom maybe in our forums. But his mother, I don't know,

kind of strange. Maybe psychology. I've never been able to make one work myself. It just sits there.

It doesn't like you. Well, we're going to have to ask Rosemary when we get her on what's up with that.

I haven't really tried them any times, but the few times I did try as a kid, it just kind of sat there.

I think maybe we got a yes or a no or something one time.

Well, maybe your subconscious was asleep at the time.

Possibly. We'll have to see.
