Hey, good morning. It's Playbook co-author Eugene Daniels. It is Tuesday, July 23rd. Here is what's driving the day. First, we're starting to see how the Benjamin Netanyahu visit to the United States will shape up. He is going to deliver a joint address to Congress tomorrow. He is supposed to meet with President Biden.

Also, typically, Vice President Kamala Harris would preside over the Senate at something like this.

However, she was already scheduled to attend an event for the Zeta Phi Beta sorority in Indianapolis

before the prime minister's address date was actually set. However, we scooped on Monday

that Harris will conduct a separate bilateral meeting with the Israeli prime minister this week at

the White House. In her one-on-one meeting with Netanyahu, Harris plans to reiterate her commitment

to Israel security and right to defend itself, but also according to an aid of hers, quote,

convey her view that it is time for the war to end in a way where Israel is secure. All hostages

are released. The suffering of Palestinian civilians and Gaza ends and the Palestinian people can

enjoy their right to dignity, freedom, and self-determination. Here Harris also plans to discuss the ongoing negotiations on a ceasefire deal.

If you've been paying attention, there's been some daylight between Harris and President

Joe Biden on the issue of Israel and Gaza for months.

Since the beginning of the war, Harris has been telling colleagues in the administration,

including Biden, that she wants the White House to show more concerned publicly for the humanitarian damage in Gaza.

One person close to the VP's office said she believes the United States should, quote, be tougher on Netanyahu.

Also, Vice President Harris at the top of the Harris for president campaign, went to Wilmington, Delaware, the headquarters

of the old Biden campaign and now Harris campaign.

Her husband, the second gentleman, was also there.

They talked with staff.

They met with senior staff and gave pump-up remarks to the rest of the staff in the Wilmington headquarters.

At the all-staff meeting, Harris announced that both Julie Chavez-Radriguez and General

Mali Dillon will be staying in their roles leading the team as campaign manager and campaign
