T-B-T-L!

Well, hey everybody. Welcome to a Thursday afternoon edition of T-B-T-L. It is the show that is probably too beautiful to live.

This is episode 605 in a collector series. I'm your host, Luke Burbank. Coming to you once again from a remote mountain location.

A series of programs that we are calling T-B-T-L. Rough in it. I'm going to keep the intro short today because my family's here and everybody's out on the dock, swimming and having a gale time.

And I do mean that in the homosexual way, by the way. Everybody's out having fun and I'm in here in my makeshift studio talking to you MOOCs on my vacation. No less.

So I'm going to really quickly get into what we've got from the T-B-T-L archives for you today. And then I'm going to go back out and have some fun. The way God intended it.

We are here for about another week and a day. So next week also will be some of our best bits from the T-B-T-L archives and also some updates about how we're doing out here in rural America in the inland empire.

It's been an interesting, I guess it's been almost two weeks now out here. It's been really fun. I have found that people are weird about their little slice of paradise.

I sort of expected that we'd get here and everyone would just be, you know, open arms and say, you know, welcome to, you know, our cabin area, our cabin, S2 cabin.

That is Spanish, by the way, when I said S2. But there is one neighbor who's super nice, our friend Bernita, who gave us Amish friendship bread.

But everybody else is weird. It's like, I think what happens is, you have these people and they have these normal lives. They live in cities and they work.

And they get these little cabins and the cabin is not just a place to go and hang out in the summertime, but it represents something.

It becomes this idea of a sanctuary. And so when their boss is chewing them out at their, you know, software job or whatever, they keep thinking, but when I get to my sanctuary, it's going to be awesome.

And I think they don't like people they don't know being in the zone of their sanctuary. It's very odd. Or it's just that people in this part of the inland northwest are kind of dooshers.

Anyway, it's been, it's been an interesting experience, certainly a fun one, but also a trip into the, a trip into the psyche of people who have vacation cabins.
