We're going to talk about mental health issues among teens and specifically why hope needs to make a comeback.

Our hearts aren't made to live without hope.

And, you know, we're still assessing the collateral damage of the last two years, but perhaps

the most targeted group that are

struggling the most that we need to come alongside. We need to understand are our teens.

Here's just a few stats provided for me by Treehouse. Listen to this. 44% of teens report

feeling persistently sad or hopeless, similar symptoms to major depressive disorder one in five say

they've contemplated suicide 44% of those it's a 44% increase since 2009 29% said a parent

lost a job during the pandemic 43% of students said they consumed alcohol 30% said they drank

more during the pandemic than

they ever had before. More than half reported they experienced emotional abuse by a parent or

adult in a home, including being a target of swearing insults and more during the pandemic.

So obviously, obviously, our teens are not okay. So what are we to do?
