I sat down with her to muse on her career and what it takes to make it in a tough biz.

So you're anxious about flying ever since COVID.

You don't strike me as that person?

I don't want to be that person.

Why don't you not be that person?

Are you afraid of little germs floating through the air of the aeroplane?

Bit, but I'm just scared of being shot out of the sky, if I'm honest. Oh, right, yeah. I'm a bit of scared. And you'd say, why would you think that? But I don't know. Yeah. Well, don't fly over Ukraine or even probably Russia. Sure. Or any number of a growing list of countries with internal strife.

So when I was doing commentary for the Eurovision Song Contest, which I want to talk about.

One of my favourite jobs in the whole entire world.

The year I left, it was going to Ukraine.

And we'd been before doing other things before for Eurovision.

I mean, loved it.

But part of me just went, oh, God, it's all a bit much.

And I don't know.

I think we have a healthy sense of denial as human beings, which is absolutely necessary.
