Summary

Julia Bradbury, the television presenter, author and ‘outdoor evangelist’ is here to explain exactly why time outdoors, connecting with your health and making better choices is worth the effort and, perhaps most importantly, the ‘how’ of building these habits into your life.

In her book Walk Yourself Happy, Julia examines the elemental link between our health - both physical, mental and emotional - and the natural world. For Julia personally, it was a balm during her breast cancer treatment and IVF treatments.

I distinctly remember having conversations with friends during the lockdowns and whenever we’d discuss going ‘back to normal’ we all expressed how we wanted things to return to normal but that we didn’t want to go back to how we were living before. In almost every conversation, what this referred to was not going back into normality at such a fast, relentless pace.

If you’re looking at the floor then perhaps you, like me, have found yourself back at that breakneck speed and you want to figure out how to slow things down and, honestly listeners, I think Julia is the key to this, which is why I’m delighted to welcome her on the podcast.
