Judith Hanson Lasater is a seminal figure in the yoga world. She talks with J about the earliest times for independent yoga teachers, her experience with BKS Iyengar, reasons for withdrawal from the Iyengar organization, and the inspiration behind what she teaches now. excited to talk to her. She's somebody I admire very much. I've never studied with her directly,

but I have received teaching from her indirectly. And her name is mentioned in my class. She's

somebody who I really draw upon.

I have to say, though, it was an interesting example of something.

the podcast next month. And she said, oh, I never read comments or reviews because it makes me

doubt myself. And I think that that's really sort of been happening. Like I get three reviews of people telling me, oh, I love what you're doing.

And then I get one review of someone telling me, oh, you're horrible.

You've got to stop interrupting.

And then I can kind of really start to doubt myself.

And that's not helpful.
