Welcome back to the Dershore show. This is the weirdest presidential election in American history.

It seems to be dominated by courts, court cases, judges, lawyers.

Elections are supposed to be about which candidate you support what's best for America what what the issues are

where do you stand on abortion where do you stand on taxation where do you stand

in immigration where do you stand on foreign policy?

No, no.

Everything in this campaign seems to be lawyers.

You turn on television about the election.

And it's Trump coming out of court, going into court,

it's Hunter Biden, going out of court, coming into court,

going into a congressional hearing.

It's just, just the law is dominating.

And you know, this coming from a lawyer who spent his whole life

as a lawyer in court and defending

defending people but it's just it's just too much

you know in the Federalist Papers

Alexander Hamilton described the judiciary

as the least dangerous branch.

Why?

Because the judiciary is the only branch

that doesn't have the power of the sword.

Can't call out the army or anything like that, and it doesn't have the power of the purse, it can't allocate money, and so Hamilton said, it's the least dangerous branch, and I think the framers of our Constitution saw it as essentially a check and balance on the executive branch which was so powerful and the legislative branch which was powerful as well.
