And he said to Ziba and Zalmuna, where are the men whom you killed at Tabor? They answered,

As you are, so were they. Every one of them resembled the son of a king. Okay, what does that mean?

I don't know what that means. What are they saying? Well, I think they're saying to Gideon,

you know, you're an impressive person and these other men that we killed, they were also impressive people. And so Gideon, you know, you're an impressive person, and these other men that we killed,

they were also impressive people. And so Gideon is going to respond in verse 19. They were my

brothers, the sons of my mother.

we will not be done at 100. All right, guys, so last week we talked about Judges Chapter 6, and we kind of

summarized that as the rise of Gideon, and we talked about a lot of things. One of the things we did

is we, you know, Jim helpfully gave a four-step strategy to lay out a prayer fleece. Thank you for that.

Awesome. You understood me perfectly.

Yeah, today we're going to talk about the fall of Gideon. All right. We had talked about his story as a similar archetype. It's the rise and fall of a character. Today we're going to

cover judges seven through eight. But first, Sam, because it's so helpful,

remind the reader again of this repetitive cycle of judges and where we are at with it at this

point. Sure. So high level comments. Remember, as Jim has pointed out, you basically have two sets

of three judges. And what we have begun in chapter six is that second set. So we're going to be

covering, not today, obviously, but this second set includes Gideon and then Jephtha and then Samson.

So those are the final three major judges in the book. Each of the judges follows this pattern

that is laid out for us in 216 and following.
