What's the point of the book of judges? Israel needs a king. And what type of king do they need?

Well, they need the type of king that God's been promising, a king who's going to come from the line of

Judah, right? Number 24, Genesis 49. And what you find geographically throughout the book of judges

is the story moves further and further away from the

tribe of Judah and from the location of Judah and as it does so things get worse and worse.
