Hey kids, we're taking a little break over the festive season. Today's story is one of our personalised tales. I'm sure you know we do personalized birthday stories, and this one is one of our personalized Christmas stories. It's about one of our beloved regular BKFK listeners from Ireland named Jude.

On the day before Christmas, when Jude woke up, he stretched and he opened his eyes. Waiting for him at the end of his bed was a rather unusual surprise.

A small little chap, dressed in green and red clothes, was sitting on his bedroom shelf.

The boy knew at once, from his large pointy ears, that this little man was an elf.

Good morning, he said with a warm friendly smile.

I go by the name of Snowball.

We have a small problem at home in the north.

You see, Santa's not well at all.

He told me to come here and ask you myself,

if you can come give us a hand.

So if you agree, then will you come with me and we'll go to our magical land?

The boy was delighted and jumped out of bed.

He said, come and stand over here.

He waved a thin wand in the air with a whoosh, and the elf and the boy disappeared.

At once they were gone, and then soon reappeared, in a room that was painted bright red.

Hello, my boy, said a warm, friendly voice.

It was Santa Claus lying in bed.

He coughed and he splattered and weakly he said,

Jude, I'm glad you have come.

There's much work to do. That's why I am hoping you have come. There's much work to do.

That's why I am hoping you can do all that needs to be done.
