And tonight, as I mentioned, we're going to be going through the epistle of St. Jude.

St. Jude is short, and so there are no chapter numbers.

Just verses.

It's all one chapter. In greek um as i mentioned it's sort of a longish paragraph

um but um the reason to reiterate from back when we introduced uh first and second p Peter and Jude, the reason we're doing Jude out of order in between 1st and 2nd Peter instead of waiting until after we do 1st, 2nd, 3rd John is that as we mentioned then, pretty much the entire text of the Epistle of St. Jude is incorporated into 2 Peter

Chapter 2, which is one of the weird things in the New Testament. But so based on that, right,

that St. Jude's epistle clearly was written first as we talked to, I'm not going to go through all that again, but was written first and then was incorporated in that way into the text of 2nd Peter.

We're going to talk about it first.

And then when we next get together, which is going to be a little while.

But for people to say this recording, we'll just be next week.

and we'll talk more about that, especially when we get to chapter 2.

So as we mentioned, St. Jude's Epistle identifies itself, as we're going to see,

the first verse is being written by Jude, the brother of James, which is about, as we were just saying,

the vaguest sort of intro you could give for Palestinian Judaism,

because that means Judah, the brother of Jacob,

which there were probably like a thousand of those.

Then you give he given place.
