I want to introduce the brilliant the world champion, Judith Freedlander tonight everybody.

Please welcome Judith!

Thank you. Thanks for having me here. This is really cool to be here.

Can you inform in it give us a summary of your life and how you ended up right here right now?

Okay, yeah, okay creative mom. I mentioned in my book quickly. My mom always did a lot of art.

Where? At home. You have a where? This is in San Diego.

Okay, a little kid who lived in San Diego for a while. Born in Maryland, lived in San Diego for a while.

Mom always did lots of art. Very strict parents. She wouldn't let us watch much TV.

It was, you know, first we just get your homework done and then it was either go outside and play or create something.

Make something, do some art drawing, whatever. And my dad kind of always taught me to sort of like question authority.

You know, don't always believe what you hear and see on TV and etc.

So those two things were big and then completely miserable in school for the most part. Absolutely hated it.

I always looked at it. I got good grades. I had to. I think I would have been killed by my parents if I didn't.

So I always looked at school like prison. It's like do good behavior and then get the fuck out. That's how I kind of viewed it.

And you went to a good school. It was a public school.

I kind of the college afterwards. You went to a degree. I did. I kind of forget that I ever went there.

Because I never, I didn't view it as a good college when I was there. I looked like I was at the film school at NYU.

I started in 87 and I kind of view that. I don't really even view it as a college experience.

So I basically had a high school education. But because in film school, you can't really, there's not too much you can teach.

You basically, you get a camera, you out and make a short film and then you edit it and you just learn by doing.

I really learned that much. But the school got me to New York. But anyways, backtracking a little bit.
