I don't think Bill Madden at this point in his career has any reason to leak stuff other than to

just, this is what I've heard. So the question is who's leaking it to him? I think he's probably

got just sources within the Yankees and Major League Baseball, and this is the rumblings. But all it is is rumblings, and because all it is rumblings, and because I do think

the Yankees have a home field advantage with Soto, and it wouldn't stun me if he took

a few dollars less to stay, especially when a few dollars less is not really overwhelming.

Like the difference between 760 and 800 over 15 years is not a lot of money.
