Today's episode is going to be, I can commit.

This is going to be a good one and pretty different than most of the episodes of the

show.

And part of the reason for that is, my guest today is JT Harder.

And JT and I met when I was like 26 or 27 years old, and he was like 23 or 24.

And he has become one of the biggest and most successful songwriters in country music, though

he's had hits in other genres too.

He has written songs that you know that Kenny Chesney is sang like somewhere with you.

He wrote somewhere in my car with Keith Urban after meeting him at a urinal.

It JT wrote and carried around for years.

The Uncle Claracar song, Smile, JT trying to get some kind of traction with it.

He wrote Sangria, the Blake Shelton song, and he wrote Beers and Sunshine.

They got it and just have hits 10 years ago.

I mean, he had the biggest hit last summer with Beers and Sunshine with our friend with

my pal Darius Rucker.

But before all that, JT and I had some history together and JT has written a book.

And this book is excellent.

It's called Party, Like a Rockstar, which is also the title of one of his songs that

was like the number one song on a serious for a long time.

And also, JT, you can hold up that book, but this is an audio podcast.
