When you are joyous, you understand the world.

This statement came up by the lunch I was with with two awesome women

and we were talking about joy and fun and feeling light and engaged and actually it was one of my friends who said this, you know, when you're joyous, it's like you just kind of understand the world.

Now, what do I mean by that? There's a lot of talk in spiritual circles about spiritual bypassing, something called spiritual bypassing, which

to my understanding is wanting to jump over the problem, skip over your emotions,

and get straight to feeling good and positive and light, because, hey, is and that what the law of attraction

needs in order to manifest everything that you want.

Correct me if I'm wrong with spiritual bypassing but that's my understanding of it

based on conversations that I've had. I have a different point of view my friends, okay? I have been, I have

had the privilege of being around a lot of people who've suffered in different ways.

I'll start with my mother, who was born into Communist Poland in 1942.

She had no electricity, she had holes in her shoes, there wasn't enough food.

She still has food anxiety, is there enough?

And she still overeat if there's food available because it's how she's programmed, it's how she grew up.

And also, when she was young, she was unsupervised near the oven,

and her face and arm were burned in a fire and she's of course carried that with

where she has her own complexities, she's joyous.
