Welcome to our first Rosary in Advent.

Well, actually, I guess it's our second Rosary in Advent,

my first Rosary in Advent.

So let us call to mind that we're ever in the presence of

Almighty God in whom we live and move and have our being. We call upon him in the

name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Amen. We're offering

this Rosary for a dear friend Andy Box mother who's not doing well. She's health is failing. Her name is Mary Ann. So we pray for Mary Ann. I want to pray for Randy Swanson for his ongoing recovery.

He had heart transplant and for Diane Hunter's family.

The title of Our Rosary Joy to the Weary Our world is weary. We're weary from mixed or deceptive messages.

Worry from seeking peace and not finding it. We're weary of feeling judged and attacked. The soul of our

culture is sick. Our world cries out, groaning in labor pains until now, waiting for something, though it knows not what.

St Paul tells us in Romans, for those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the

things of the flesh, but those who live according to the flesh set their minds on the things of the flesh but those who live according

to the spirit set their minds on the things of the spirit.

For to set the mind on the flesh is death but to set the mind on the spirit is life and peace. the not

The conflict that we're seeing in the world then

stems from a deeper conflict, a conflict with God. So how do we enter into the season of Advent with a sense of

joy? For one simple and important reason Jesus tells us to be of good cheer he says for I

have overcome the world John 1633 and we must remember he is coming again. This is also a theme of Advent. This is what we
