God has given us one book that can change the entire direction of our lives, the Bible.

We've been walking through the great letters of the New Testament, and we've come now to the one New Testament letter, the one New Testament book that was written to a woman and her children. It is the

little book of 2 John. And 2 John, verse 1, says, the elder, that's John, unto the elect lady and her children,

whom I love in the truth, and not I only, but also all they that have known the truth.

John is writing to a woman.

We don't know exactly who she is, but he refers to her as the elect lady.

So we know she's a believer. We know she belongs to the Lord.

And her children, obviously, are those that she's guiding to God, those that she's teaching and bringing along in the faith.

And I love that. You know, the gospel of Jesus Christ is for male and female.

And the work of the Lord Jesus Christ is to be engaged in by both men and women.

And 2 John is a wonderful reminder of that.
