It's the media buzz meter with Howard Kurtz.

Well, it happened to me again yesterday.

The thing I called, you had one job.

I had to talk to my bank to resolve a little dispute.

And that meant waiting on hold for like half an hour.

Very frustrating.

Finally, I get this woman on the phone.

She asked me a bunch of questions, very friendly and professional. And then after going through

this whole rigmarole, she says, well, actually, you have the wrong person. I've got to transfer

to you this other division. And I said, really? Is that going to be another long way? Because,

you know, I've already waited half an hour just to talk to you. So no, no, no. It should start right away. Okay, thank you very much. Transfers. And then once the transfer is made, I get a voice. We are having difficulties. Try again later. Click hangs up on me.

I mean, that wasn't a person hanging up on me. It was a bot or something, but how many people have had experiences like this?

I mean, you know, we all rely now and you try to get through these phone trees just to talk to a human being, and then it turns out it's

the wrong human being. You know, all right. I don't need to, you're heading into the weekend. You don't

want to hear these sob stories. You want to have a good time, and I hope you do. We are making

more changes to media buzz for Sunday on Fox at 11 Eastern, because today's the day that Kamala Harris visits

the border, and that, of course, is going to get a lot of attention. I'll come back to that,

but my heart goes out to all the people who are in the path of Hurricane Helene. It looks like

when it hit Florida, it was a pretty ferocious hurricane. I guess millions now

are without power as the hurricane makes its way inland. And I don't know if I could live in

Florida and put up with these annual disasters. It's scary stuff. And it seems like they've become ever more powerful.
