Welcome to the podcast. This is episode 364. My name is Douglas Wilson, and I don't know what your name is, but I'm glad you decided to join us anyhow. So culturally engaged Christians, politically aware Christians, have been praying for Reformation and Revival in our country for some time. Here in Moscow, we've been praying for Reformation and Revival in our country for some time.

Here in Moscow, we've been praying for Reformation and Revival for decades.

We have a weekly men's prayer meeting, a morning prayer meeting,

where we have been praying for a long time for Reformation and Revival.

And in effect, we are praying for God to send us a Josiah.

I just finished reading the account of Josiah's reforms in Second Kings.

And it's really inspiring what Josiah was able to do.

It's a really wonderful thing that God did in the Reformation under Josiah.

And thoughtful Christians have been praying for a Josiah-like reformation for some time. We've been praying for a Josiah. It appears, to me,

as though the Lord has sent us a Jehu. So we have, we've asked for a Josiah, we have been given a

Jayhu, and I think that our demeanor ought to be, and the Jayhu, of course, is Donald Trump.

I think what we ought to do is take the Jayhu, but don't take the Jayhu lock, stock, and barrel. We should be grateful

to God for how much he has given us. There are some wonderful things that are coming down.

As I'm recording this yesterday was the inauguration day, and there's a whole slew of executive

orders that should delight the heart of every faithful Christian. It is the policy now of the

United States government that there are only two genders. There are only two genders. Now, that's common sense. And that's something that

Josiah would say. It's also something Jihu would say. Josiah would deal with the priests of

Bail, but so would Jayhu. But Josiah goes to the root of everything, and Jihu doesn't.

Jihu does a lot of good stuff, but he doesn't do all the good stuff that he ought to do.

So we prayed for Josiah, we got a Jihu, we should be supportive of all the things that this Jihu is going to give us, be supportive of it, we should be grateful

for it, we should express our gratitude for it, but we shouldn't, for the sake of politics and optics,

shut up about certain things that God cares about. In other words, Jayhu needs to be admonished from time to time. Jayhu needs to be,
