Well, well, well, there's been a lot to digest in recent days and weeks.

This is one of those things, you know, sometimes a news event happens, and I'm like,

ah, I got to talk about it.

Zeps is on, we got to get out there, we've got to get Zep's perspective immediately,

instantaneously.

Hot take, first draft of

history. I felt like that after the Bondi terrorist attack, for example, where I sort of had a bunch

of things that had been welling up that it was time to finally say. And those aren't always perfect,

but at least they're raw and from the heart. And I don't know about you, but I'm like,

how have you been feeling over this Iran campaign? I have felt mostly befuddled a little bit

and conflicted. And I got to say, deeply underserved by the media commentary. I'm not sure what I was expecting, but I feel like from places like

public broadcasters and legacy news outlets, I get a constant drumbeat of what the latest things

that are happening in the war are and how hypocritical the war's aims are and how Donald

Trump doesn't seem to be a strategic genius,

as if we needed this pointed out.

And then on social, I see a lot of ranting and raving about, well, look, I'll give you some examples about, you know, how the evil American empire is up to it, what it always does,

which is steamrolling the bodies of innocent people.

And there's no

30,000-foot kind of bird's-eye picture of like, what is, what does this moment mean?

We've gotten bad at sort of wrestling, we've gotten bad at writing the first draft of history,

rather than writing the first draft of the first draft of the thing that is going out right now

about the thing right now.
