This is CBS I on the World, I'm John Bachelor. I welcome my colleague Josh Roggan.

He writes global opinions for the Washington Post looking at Vice President Harris and her campaigning with regard to the Muslim American vote.

We're told it's in Michigan, but it's a national story.

Josh, a very good evening to you. The line that I nodded out in your column is an impossible

task. How so Josh? Good evening John. Well, you know, when Kamil Harris became the uh... nominee in august a she an opportunity

to repair

uh... what had been a fractured relationship between the bided administration and the democratic

national committee and muslim and arab american community American community leaders all over the country over the situation in Gaza.

And what she did was she sort of said and indicated that she would have different policy without spelling out exactly what that was.

And you know, over the course of the last two months, her outreach and her pitch to these communities, I have found in talking to many of these

community leaders has failed and essentially they just don't buy what she's

selling they don't believe her and they are defecting from her some toward third party candidates like Jill Stein or Cornell West
