Summary

In December 2009, Josh Powell came under suspicion of murder when his wife, Susan, disappeared from their West Valley City, Utah home at a time he claims to have taken his young boys camping after midnight, and in freezing temperatures. Able to evade arrest for several years, Josh finally snapped in February 2012 when he learned he wouldn't regain custody of his children, and did the unthinkable. He attacked the boys with a hatchet and burned down the rental home, consuming all of them with carbon monoxide. And we know why he did it. Josh Powell was a sociopath. But how did he become one? 0:41.4	enveloping all of society, and seemingly taking on a life of their own.

0:47.9	In December 2009, Susan Powell, a 27-year-old mother of two, disappeared from her home in West Valley City, Utah,
0:56.6	never to be seen again.
0:58.6	The subsequent investigation into her vanishing led police right back to the young woman's own doorstep as her
1:05.6	husband Josh Powell became a suspect. In the years following the disappearance
1:11.3	authorities have come to believe Josh murdered Susan and likely
1:15.4	disposed of her body somewhere in the Utah desert.
1:18.7	However, nearly a decade removed from the event, we still have no clear answer.
1:24.5	In the immediate aftermath of Susan's vanishing, a combination of police scrutiny and skepticism

1:34.4	carousel with the two boys Charlie and Brayden bouncing around from Josh
1:39.6	his sister Jennifer to Susan's parents Chuck Chuck and Joy, and back to Josh again.
